Lions Community Walk/Run For Happiness

To Support Mental Health

About the Lions Walk/Run for Happiness

The inaugural Lions Walk/Run For Happiness 2015 is a Legacy project of District A16 Lions Clubs International Mental Health Awareness Committee.

The objective of the Lions Walk/Run is to educate the general public and create awareness about the realities of mental health and illness and promote mental wellness in our communities through lions clubs.

This will be an annual event to be held on the first Sunday of October every year during the Mental Illness Awareness Week (MIAW).

Several hundred walkers/runners including many politicians, business and healthcare leaders are expected to participate in the inaugural walk. This year’s goal is to raise awareness of mental health issues in the community with major proceeds being used to support education and anti-stigma campaigns within the communities served by A16 Lions Clubs International.

The event will feature a scenic route with a family friendly festival, food and live entertainment.
